Lawrence (Larry) M. Baker practices in the firm's Charlotte, North Carolina office. He received his BA degree from Alma College in Alma, MI and his JD degree from Wake Forest University School of Law, where he served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board. Larry was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 1990, and is admitted in the Eastern and Western Districts of Federal Court in North Carolina. He practices in the area of workers' compensation defense.
Larry serves on the Executive Committee of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys as President-Elect. He holds an AV Preeminent rating from Lexis Nexis Martindale-Hubbell indicating the highest level of ethical and professional excellence and serves on the North Carolina Industrial Commission’s Chairman’s advisory council. Larry has also been named a 2018 US News Best Lawyer for Workers' Compensation Law.
Larry has lived in Charlotte since 1990 with his wife, Susie and children, Catherine and Sarah. He is an elder of Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church and in his free time enjoys cooking, tennis, and board games.
