Carrie Hailman O’Brien practices in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office where she practices law in both South Carolina and North Carolina as a litigator. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, from College of Charleston, and her J. D. degree from University of South Carolina where she was selected to compete at the National Trial Lawyers Competition, and was a finalist. After law school, she clerked for The Honorable R. Markley Dennis, Jr. in Charleston, South Carolina.
She was admitted to the South Carolina Bar and the United States District Court, District of South Carolina in 2000. In 2001, she was admitted to the North Carolina Bar and the United States District Court, Western District of North Carolina.
Carrie grew up in Charleston, South Carolina before moving to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2001. Carrie and her husband, Kevin, have two children, Andrew and Ann Douglas. She is a member of Myers Park Methodist Church where she has taught Sunday school to 3 year olds. In her free time she loves to cook, read, workout, and be outdoors.
