Jean Y. Kim practices in the firm’s Columbia, South Carolina office. Jean received her B.A. in Criminal Justice, distinction in major, and minor in General Business from Temple University in 2015. She received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2018. While in law school, Jean served as the Senior Editor of the South Carolina Journal of Law and Education and worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Margaret Seymour of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. She was also the recipient of the Kevin S. Curry Memorial Fund Scholarship. Outside of law school, Jean volunteered as a juvenile arbitrator for the city of Lexington.
Jean was amitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2018, and she is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, Young Lawyer’s Division and The South Carolina Workers' Compensation Educational Association . She practices exclusively in the area of workers’ compensation defense.
Jean grew up in Philadelphia but now calls Columbia home. Outside of the office, she enjoys spoiling her two cats, traveling with family and friends, exercising, and cheering on her Temple Owls.
